Online Alberta Transfer Guide (OATG) Search

Using the left menu, you can search for transfer agreements in two ways:
- Fast Find - search for one course or program at a time
- Step-By-Step - search for multiple courses or programs

Some things to keep in mind:
- An academic year is from September 1st to August 31st
(i.e. September 1, 2002 to August 31, 2003). Transfer agreements MUST be in place
in the academic year in which you took your course or program to be valid for transfer credit.
For example, if you took a course in May 1998, you would need to search the 1997-1998 academic year. When planning for future studies (you haven't taken the course yet), use the current academic year.
- Transfer agreements specified in the OATG may be dependent
upon the grade of the course and on the particular program a student wishes to enter.
If a student switches to an unrelated program, courses may not be fully transferable.
Each institution has its own requirements and practices for admission of students and awarding
transfer credit. It is always adviseable to check with the registrar at the institution
you are transferring to, there may be limitations on transfer or admission of transfer students.
