An applicant who previously completed courses of study or work experience related to a trade, or who holds a related journeyman certificate and has the employer's recommendation, may qualify for credit that could reduce the term of an apprenticeship program. Information is available at any Apprenticeship and Industry Training office (see www.tradesecrets.gov.ab.ca) or at
aitinfo@gov.ab.ca. For a list of accredited courses at www.tradesecrets.gov.ab.ca go to "Trades & Occupations" on the left hand menu, select the trade you are interested in, scroll to the "Apprenticeship Training" section and click on the link "Accreditation information".
