TRANSFER ARRANGEMENTS WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS

The following organizations have transfer arrangements with Alberta post-secondary institutions. The information on the courses covered by these arrangements is presented for publication by the respective receiving institution.

Nechi Training, Research and Health Promotions Institute

Students who have completed the Community Addictions Training Certificate and the Advanced Counsellor Training Certificate after 1987 with Nechi Institute will receive fifteen (15) credits towards the Native Addiction Worker Certificate Program at Keyano College. Students must provide copies of their certificates along with an official transcript from Nechi.

Students who have completed the Community Addictions Training (CAT) series with Nechi Institute will receive advanced credit towards the Community Health Representative professional development certificate at Portage College.

Students who successfully complete Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT)'s Community Services - Addictions program will be admitted directly into Keyano College's second year Aboriginal Addictions Services diploma program as a full block credit.

Transport Canada

Students who have successfully completed the Private Pilot and Commercial Ground School at any Transport Canada approved Flight School, and have passed the corresponding Transport Canada examinations, will receive EAS 1xx (3) at the University of Alberta and GEOG 2xx (3) at The King's University College. Students must present a letter issued from Transport Canada indicating total score and divisional mark. An authorized person at each flight training facility must identify the student's name and hours attended while enrolled in the Ground School as per student's Pilot Training Record.
